Illuminarium Pinball
Super fun!

To entertain visitors during intermissions of the show at the Illuminarium in Zurich, we set up a giant multiplayer virtual pinball machine in the inner courtyard of the National Museum.

We installed three consoles with controllers for attendees to use, but on a grand scale: projected onto the walls of the museum patio. Through video mapping techniques, we adjusted the space to the images of the game and vice versa, creating a virtual reality where the ball (projected imagery) bounced off actual walls and sneaked through glass windows, bringing to life resources, motifs, and characters that appeared, glowed, or changed in real time during the game.
